This is the second time I am participating in the FitBrit but I must say the excitement of waking up every morning to hit the road and make the most of it is only increasing by the day. The earlier stint helped me get into a walking/jogging schedule, going from 4-5 Km. to 7+ Km. when the season 2 ended. It is something that has become a habit now, so much so that I don't take the weekend break also. My motto - health and fitness don't take a break. So why I should walking do? Wishing more kilometers towards health to all participants for it's about FitHeart beyond FitBrit. Let's do our best.
It was nice walking this morning, esp as it is a double celebration for many - Women's Day and Shivaratri. As I ventured into the main road and then turned into the inner roads, I saw decorative lights put up on the roadsides, for Shivaratri celebration. I felt good making my efforts by walking to health, even as I prayed to God to bless my efforts towards good health.
Yesterday, 31st March, I took part in a Decathlon Walkathon. It was meant to be 5K but due to their miscalculation it turned out to be less than 4K and didn't satisfy me at all. I realised, that although we think daily walking or jogging is a trouble, after doing so consistently from last 1.5 months, I now miss the rigour if I do anything lesser. That's our body, co-operating with us for anything we wish to do. Let's walk or jog daily, pushing ourselves every now and then to get out of our comfort zone and do better than before. Let's make fitness a habit like breathing.
Saturday, 13th April 2024, is the last day of FitBrit challenge but FitBrit itself is the start of a new journey - the journey of fitness. A journey of our efforts towards the best of health and fitness, not just as Britannians but as human beings. Let's keep it going, so each day we become fitter than before. Running is one of the toughest workout. It seems hard now, but while we regularly continue running, then it will raise our speed & confidence level So, that's why i was able to complete my Half Marathon today.

1st Marathon completed. Feels good to test your stamina. Last 1 hours feels exhausted.
I started using Strava because I wanted to improve my run times, and it sure paid off. I was able to take 139 minutes off my half marathon . I'm looking forward to continuing to improve my race times.

If it has to be one takeaway from this event, it is that it's always possible to stay consistent. Travel, family functions, turmoil at work and more. It's always possible to take out 1 hr.
